Pensacola Radiology Consultants offer many procedures that assist referring physicians in the diagnosis and care of their patients.
An Upper GI series is a study of the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. A Barium Swallow is performed to evaluate the pharynx and esophagus. A Small Bowel Series studies the small intestine, which is approximately 22 feet long in most people. A Barium Enema is an evaluation of the large intestine (colon).
For over 30 years, the physicians of Pensacola Radiology Consultants, through continued education, and constant concern for patient's well being, have provided the best fluoroscopic service to our medical community.
Fluoroscopy is also frequently used in guiding needle placement for exams like lumbar punctures, myelograms and orthograms where contrast may be injected into the spinal canal or various joints for detailed evaluation.
