Barium Studies & Fluoroscopy
Pensacola Radiology Consultants offer many procedures that assist referring physicians in the diagnosis and care of their patients.
An Upper GI series is a study of the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. A Barium Swallow is performed to evaluate the pharynx and esophagus. A Small Bowel Series studies the small intestine, which is approximately 22 feet long in most people. A Barium Enema is an evaluation of the large intestine (colon).
